Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Today I am going to do a review on Makeup revolution London: Hot smoked Redemption palette. This palette is dupe for Urban Decay Smoked Palette. The pigmentation differs, so I am not going to compare these both now. I have been dying to get my hands on this product since its launch and finally its now available in India. Makeup revolution has amazing range of eye shadow palettes, dupes of high end brands palettes.
This palette contains 12 shades, out of which 5 are matte shades, 7 are shimmery shades. You get 14 grams of product. The shades are pretty dark and glittery, but you can use them in the day as well.
The packaging is of plastic and not that sturdy. It comes with a double side sponge applicator which is of no use, I jus use it to pop the color into my inner corner. I use Real Techniques Starter kit eye kit for my eye shadows. The palette does not contain a mirror as well, I wish they had included mirror.
The ingredients list is inserted in the picture below. The product is available worldwide. On their official site it costs £4.00 and in India its available for Rs.1050, but I have bought it in a discount for Rs.450 in Jabong.com. The product has a 3 years validity from the date of manufacturing.
Real Techniques Brush Set: Amazon
They do not have shade numbers or names, so I will be starting from right to left.
Shades 1, 3 & 4 are pretty shimmery shades, the color pay off is pretty good & shade 2 is a matte shade wich is a soft pinkish nude shade which can be used as a transition shade. All the shades are silky texture, very easily blendable, the pigmentation is biuldable. The eye shadow stays put for 6-8 hrs, oily lids people but definitely use a eye base or else it will crease really bad. I would suggest everyone to use a eye primer or eye base for the colors to pop up little more pigmented and also to prevent creasing.
Shade 1 is a Blueish-Violet shade, shade 3 is a gun metal color & shade 4 is a dark shimmery olive green & these shades can be applied on the eye ball, outer V of the eye for a smokey look.
Shade 5, 6 & 7 are again glittery shades in blue, purple and bronze shades respectively. They look amazing for a party look or night pool party look. The entire eye shadow trick is in blending, the tools you use for blending, and the wind swiper motion blending helps in removing harsh edges.
Shade 8 is a jet black matte shade which has deepest pigmentation of all the shades and also helps in giving the other colors intensity.
Shade 9, 11, 12 are matte shades. shade 9 is a brownish-Taupe shade which is perfect for transition shade for darker skin tone. Shades 11 & 12 can be used as a highlighter shades in the inner corner and also for highlighting the brow bone.
Shade 10 is a glittery silver shade which would look pretty for a party look with glitters patted on the moving lid eye ball.
*Keep the glitters to only the moving lid area.
*Smokey look can be recreated with these amazing shimmery shades.
*Has minimal fallouts, use a scrotch tape stick it on the fall outs to remove the fallouts easily.
Take a look at the swatches of all the 12 shades together below:
- Good color payoff

Would I recommend this product ??
Yes, I would definitely recommend this palette because of the wide color ranges and the pigmentation.
